Biography
| “Shamin Mehrotra is the Chief Officer of School Services and Mental Health, and has been part of Ummeed’s leadership team since 2003. She leads School Services, supporting schools to include children with diverse learning needs and creating inclusive, safe learning environments. As a Senior Mental Health Therapist, she also heads the Mental Health team, offering strategic direction and family-centered support, especially for children with disabilities. Shamin has been instrumental in developing training programs in education and mental health, and currently leads Ummeed’s Awareness vertical, building understanding around developmental disabilities, early intervention, self-advocacy, and inclusion. She holds master’s degrees in Applied Psychology (University of Mumbai) and Psychological Services (University of Pennsylvania).” |
