Biography
| Deepti believes that schools should be a place where ALL children feel safe, happy and are able to learn at their pace so that they reach their maximum potential and are able to make the best choices for themselves. For the past 12 years, she has been on a journey in the education sector where before joining Ummeed she taught children from a govt. school as a Teach for India fellow and coached and mentored school leadership, administration and teachers to work towards school transformation, improved leadership and teaching-learning practices so that all children learn. Currently, she works as a Director with the School Services at Ummeed Child Development Center, Mumbai. Her aim is to bring in sustainable changes in the education system to make schools more inclusive and focused on the wellbeing of children. Deepti has done her Masters in business administration and prior to joining the education sector, worked in the corporate sector for more than 4 years.d |
