Shamin Mehrotra

Shamin Mehrotra is the CEO of Ummeed Child Development Center (since 2026) and has been an integral part of the organization since 2003. A Senior Mental Health Therapist and long-standing member of the leadership team, she has worked closely with children, families, and schools, advancing inclusive practices with depth, care, and clarity.

She leads Ummeed’s school-based inclusion initiatives and mental health services, ensuring a family-centred, strengths-based approach for children with developmental disabilities and their caregivers.

Shamin holds a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Mumbai and a Master’s degree in Psychological Services from the University of Pennsylvania.
